Microsoft Surface Book i7 (2016) review:

Microsoft Surface Book i7 (2016) review: t he Surface Book was Microsoft's first-ever laptop, and now it's back for an encore. The Surface Book with Performance Base is an update to last year's Surface Book, a laptop with detaching tablet screen that had an iconic look and some pretty good -- and weird -- design flourishes. What the Surface Book isn't is a Surface Pro sequel. The Surface Pro 4 , released a year ago as well, hasn't been updated in 2016 (and isn't compatible with the Surface Book at all).   If you looked at Microsoft's Surface Book last year, lusted after it, but wanted it to be a more powerful computer, this is your answer. It's a better laptop, and a better experience. But in exchange for that power, it also gets a bit heavier. The side edges feel the same, but there's a clear curving bulge on the base now. You won't notice it unless you stack these laptops side by side, but it's there. Last year, we ...

Acer Aspire VX 15 review:

Acer Aspire VX 15 review: Acer may have an attention-grabbing gaming laptop with its $9,000 limited-edition Acer Predator 21 X , but it's the Aspire VX 15 that people are actually going to buy. Starting at $800 and topping out at $1,100 , the VX 15 is just a really good deal for an entry-level gaming laptop with current-gen components. Straying from the typical Aspire streamlined designs, Acer gave the VX 15 body a "gaming system" look including two large stylized fan vents at the back to keep this system nice and cool (for the most part, anyway). If you appreciate a little splashiness -- but just a little -- this should do the trick. It's a lot like the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 in this respect as well as what's inside, but I like the Aspire a bit more. The 15.6-inch laptop is available with either a 4GB Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 or 1050 Ti paired with either an Intel Core i5-7300HQ or Core i7-7700HQ processor. The GPUs aren't sufficient for VR, ...

Review apple air book

In October 2016, Apple updated its laptop portfolio, delivering an overdue refresh of its 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pros . Considerably slimmer and lighter than their predecessors, the new MacBooks come equipped with larger Force Touch trackpads and Apple's new, dynamic Touch Bar with Touch ID. A  13-inch model without the Touch Bar  was also announced. The new models cost more than their Pro predecessors, too. For now, the  Apple laptop portfolio  includes the  12-inch MacBook , the  new 13- and 15-inch MacBook Pros  and the  older MacBook Air (reviewed below) in addition to  last year's 13- and  15-inch MacBook Pro  models, which remain on sale on Apple's website. The  11-inch MacBook Air  is now available to only the educational market; to buy one, you'll need to be associated with a school or university or find one online somewhere. Not sure which one is right for you? Consult CNET's  full head-to-head c...
